Your points about Merrick Garland are spot-on, especially now that the House Committee says it will "refer" Steve Bannon for prosecution to the full House...and then to the US Attorney in D.C....and then to AG Merrick Garland. I'm betting that Garland will not allow an indictment/trial/conviction and jailing of Bannon.

He's already said that he's going easy on the January 6 "insurrectionists" (read: domestic terrorists) shock troops cause he doesn't want to further "radicalize" them! Can anybody even imagine him (or any other white Attorney General) arguing this “go easy” shit if those folks had been any color than “white”? Garland will concoct a similar “rationale” (excuse) not to go after Bannon.

Thing is, the House Committee could have bypassed all of these slow-moving, time-consuming “procedures and simply used its "inherent contempt" power and jail that racist pig Bannon today! But....nope. Gotta wait for milquetoast “moderate” and not-so-speedy Garland to "decide" what…oh what to do.

I contend that Garland was given the AG spot as a consolation prize since McConnell wouldn't "allow" him on the S. Court. (Thanks Obama).

We'll see what happens, but, again, by the time Congress (or Garland) gets around to Bannon or Trump, the midterms will be over and lost just as you predict....and by then it will be too late., and Trump and co. will have escaped again — this time forever.

Well done, as per usual.
