Yep...It's the old and tired (but still effective) "divide and conquer" play that white folks have used against black, brown, red & yellow peoples since time immemorial.

And, of course, they use it within the black community itself, i.e., light skin vs. dark skin; the poor black masses(the “under-class”) against the "respectable" and "good" Negroes (“middle-class”); “Beauty” standards: “good” hair (straight/stringy) vs. “bad” hair (“kinky” or “nappy”), etc., etc., ad nauseum.
