When I was a political science grad student...about 1,000 years ago...I took a course in "Globalization." The professor, a hard right Republican insisted that globalism began in the '90s when Clinton signed those transnational agreements -- NAFTA, etc.

I spoke up in class and pointed out that the original "globalism" and "globalization" began more than 500 years ago with the Atlantic Slave Trade, with the Europeans' rape, murder, genocide, imperialism, colonialism in every part of this globe where "nonwhite" people resided.

He practically threw me out of the class. (By the way, I was one of only two black people in the class).

Question: Is it true that the British killed every last one of the original Tasmanians?
