What you are asking for is an admission of white guilt — something that people who think that they are white simply do not do. Have never done. And will never do. The not quite complete extermination of the indigenous “Americans;” the 400-years-and counting dehumanization of black people are the two defining events as to exactly who “white” people are. None of them feel any guilt whatever…not even in the slightest sense…for that blood-soaked history. On the contrary, the vast majority of them are actually quite proud of it.

So we must finally realize this and stop begging them to change. After all of this time, all of these centuries, we must finally realize that they won’t change.

Not as long as they have most of the guns.
