Yours is the short-sighted view that "class" trumps (pun very much intended) "race," rather than recognizing and dealing with the "intersectionality" of the two. Look, you cannot have capitalism without racism -- white racism/white supremacy. This has been the case since capitalism began replacing barter, mercantilism and feudalism (and later the African slave trade) in the late 16th century right up until this morning.

Also, most modern, honest social and political scientists understand that the number one problem in this world is not climate change, not gay marriage, not abortion, not illegal drug trafficking, not human trafficking -- none of that. The number one social, political, economic and cultural "problem" on this planet is white supremacy.

This case is not about putting one killer-cop in prison. It is about the absolutely necessary and, yes, inevitable destruction of the whole, worldwide "system" of white supremacy/white racism. Once that is accomplished, the world (and, as Dr. West says, especially black people) can then get about the business of exercising true and universal freedom...to just BE.

As one writer puts it, "If you don't understand white supremacy, then everything else will only confuse you."
