This is the key to understanding "white supremacy." For the vast, vast majority of so-called "white" people, equality equals "loss." Loss of privilege, loss of status, loss of power to "naturally" be first in line for all the good stuff. For them, it's always been a "zero-sum" proposition: If black people "succeed" at anything, they "lose" everything.
