This is akin to the "economic anxiety" argument promoted by white pundits and influencers as to why so many "poor" and "middle-class" whites love Trump. We've come to learn (although most black people never bought into that laziness anyway) that "economics" had little or nothing to do with Trump's white voters, who constitute an absolute majority of all white voters regardless of and across all economic classes.

As for your historical references about "divide and conquer," be assured that I and most other black writers (and black people generally) have always been aware of the rich, white aristocracy's hustle and game against their "lower-class" fellow whites.

Problem is that those "lower-class" white people have always heartily, eagerly embraced the notion (as explained by LBJ back in the '60s) that no matter how bad "things" are for them, "at least I ain't black."

Finally, assuming that you think you are "white," you must stop trying to explain black people to black people. Talk to your fellow "whites." We know our history. We know so-called "white" people better than you know yourselves. That is, we know better than anybody else on this planet what you are capable of...and most of it has not been pretty.

So, again: work on yourselves...and just leave us alone.
