The "white" part is in her refusal to even acknowledge the black family. You'll see in many of the comments here where white folks point to the fact that, sure, lots of black parents try to excuse, rationalize, their kids for wrongdoing. But those parents (mothers especially) show at least some empathy, sorrow, sympathy for the victims of their son or daughters' perfidy.

Too many "white" people still see us as uncivilized "savages" who deserve whatever they dish out. And, thus, they have no reason, they think, to acknowledge our pain and suffering at their hands.
