Your comments about writer's block are interesting. I had a professor once who said that there is no such thing. "When you can't think of anything to say, say anything." Anything, even "Mary had a little lamb," because then, guess what? You've got something to edit. And...

It's been my experience (and I'm sure most people's) that the best writing is actually re-writing (editing).
