Lacking evidence, a theory’s core assumptions cannot migrate from observation to scientific fact. DRT assumes the truth of its own conclusion; that is, that the “white race” is inherently superior to all other races, and therefore is entitled to rule over other racial groups (a.k.a., manifest destiny). This assumption of racial superiority went unchallenged for years — from 1619 to 2001 — until genetic scientists announced that human beings share 99.99% of genes in common. That announcement made CRT, which was formulated in the early 1990s, and largely ignored by white supremacists, an existential threat to DRT.

So...."theoretically," (and in "reality") there is no such thing as "race." The vast, vast majority of "honest" political, social, cultural, and especially biological, scientists understand that the whole notion of "race" is socially constructed and only has "meaning" in socio-political terms. It has no relationship to or meaning in terms of what it "means" to be "human."
