See...this is what "well-meaning," "liberal," and/or so-called "moderate" white people just cannot even force themselves to understand: If Hemphill and her caballeros had been black or brown or Muslim, etc. -- anything other than white --we would be having a whole other conversation. Most black or brown people would not have left those Capitol grounds alive. Blood would have flowed like a fast-moving river throughout the streets of Dee Cee.

Those who managed to escape the Capitol cops', FBI's, Metro cops', National Guard's, and the US Army's gunfire -- all would have been tracked down to the four corners of the earth and then imprisoned in the nearest "super-max" joint, if not Guantanamo Baby itself, for the remainder of their natural lives -- not for just sixty days!

Please stop pretending to "educate" black people -- of all people -- about the true nature, the historical and contemporary terror-filled reality, of this police state.
