Kanye West is a Trump-loving, MAGA hat-wearing, internationally renowned rapper, designer, and the self described “greatest artist that God ever created.”

Joel Osteen is also a Trump-loving, and therefore a presumed “conservative,” who pastors Houston’s 50,000-seat Lakewood Church.

On Sunday, November 17, these two men stood together in Osteen’s pulpit as West pontificated and, well…preached of his newfound faith in God and Jesus Christ.

As reported by PEOPLE, Osteen yielded his worldwide stage to West who regaled the world with his personal witness and testimony.

He explained why his sole focus now is on Jesus and that rapping and Hip-Hop are also-rans in his life. And, as stated, West pronounced himself to be the “Greatest artist that God has ever created.”

And how, exactly, did he come to this realization?

“I know that God’s been calling me for a long time and the devil’s been distracting me for a long time,” West confessed.

He then addressed his well publicized struggles with mental health. It was God there to, Who helped him through:

“When I was in my lowest points, God was there with me and sending me visions and inspiring me, and I remember sitting in the hospital at UCLA after having a mental breakdown and there’s documentation of me drawing a church and [wanting to] start a church in the middle of Calabasas,” he explained.

West wanted all to notice and acknowledge this profound change in him:

“….all of that arrogance and cockiness that y’all have seen from me, God is now using for Him,” he said.

“Because every time I stand up, I feel that I’m standing up and drawing a line in the sand and saying, ‘I’m here in service to God and no weapon formed against me shall prosper,’ ” he said.

“Jesus has won the victory. I told you about my arrogance and cockiness already. Now the greatest artist that God has ever created is now working for him,” he added.

Nonetheless, West’s humongous ego has not been completely subsumed by his new focus on faith. As he was speaking, some of that old cockiness creeped out and took center stage with him. It seems West could hear someone backstage or off-camera talking while he was talking. That’s when the old Kanye came out…the arrogant one, and quickly silenced that other voice. He ordered them to stop talking while he was speaking because other voices interrupted his “concentration” and “stream of consciousness.”

“I go into these streams of consciousness when I’m talking, and when you’re speaking in the middle of it, it distracts me,” he said to no one in particular. Then, directly to the audience: “I really appreciate the support, but I would like for everybody to be completely silent so I can let God flow through me as I speak to you guys today.”

Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, sat beaming front-row-center, as she watched her husband “perform.”

As for the Right Reverend Osteen — you know, the good pastor who hrefused to open his 600,000 square foot church to Hurricane harvey victims a few years ago — well, he had this to say, about Kanye’s newfound faith, “ministry,” and outreach:

“He [Kanye]reaches people that we will never reach in the church world,” Osteen told ABC.
