Please take a trip to The Motherland…and you will quickly see that this woman’s complexion and innate beauty are not at all uncommon or unusual. The closer one gets to the equator, the darker the people are. Makes sense to me. She’s considered “special” or “freakish”(whether meant pejoratively or not) mainly, mostly, here in the global north where one’s closeness to “whiteness” marks out the “standard” for beauty.
