I'm not up on NY law, so this attorney may be right in that a jury demand is not automatically granted in NY as it is in Illinois. In any case, to not even ask for one is obvious legal malpractice...and may even provide at least one ground for appeal by Dear Leader once the Judge lowers the boom on him with an astronomical fine and then puts him out of business altogether.
