One of the other things far too many white people love to say about "race," white racism and white supremacy -- about how such distasteful things are now passe and have been for years -- is that America was/is a nation of "rugged individualists." That it is the "individual" not the group who advances not just him/herself, but the entire society.

As you so well put it, that's a luxury that only "individual" white people enjoy. You see, even the black Ph.D., medical doctor, attorney, nuclear or astrophysicist (See, Neil Degrasse Tyson) -- whenever they are in the "general" society, they are no longer "individuals," but just another nigger who is subject to the same discriminations, oppressions and repressions as are the rest of us.

White people, no matter their station in life, on the other hand, are ALWAYS considered as "individuals" (at lest by other whites) and given the benefit of the doubt therefor.
