John...I don't doubt that there are well-intentioned, conscientious black cops out here -- guys and gals who try their damndest to actually help rather than hurt people -- all people. But how many of them are committed enough to actually arrest (or at least stop) rogue ('"bad apple") cops, black or white or otherwise) when they see them abusing the public? That is the test. And virtually all of them fail that test because they fear suspension, retribution by "fellow" officers, losing their jobs altogether...or worse. We had a black chief of police here in Chicago, who when asked how many "bad" cops he had seen or knew about, or arrested over his 27-year career, he answered (with a straight face) "none." 27 years!
