Iran: Bring Me the Head of Donald Trump
Has World War III already begun?
So he sent off a guard at once with orders to bring John’s head. The guard left, went to the prison, and cut John’s head off; then he brought it on a plate and gave it to the girl, who gave it to her mother. When John’s disciples heard about this, they came and got his body, and buried it.

Iran’s state-controlled television (with the assumed imprimatur of the Mullahs leading the Islamic Republic) has placed an $80 million bounty for the head (only) of Donald Trump.
This pronouncement is the first material and public move by Iran toward avenging the hit that killed its Quds Force leader, Army General Qasem Soleimani. The state-controlled television outlet said that the $80 million offer was made on behalf of the Iranian people. Prior to this offer, public pronouncements and promises of vengeance were just that — rhetorical promises and threats. But the 1,000-year history of the Persian Empire shows clearly that these are people who do not make idle threats.
If everyone anywhere in the world supports our initiative in Mashhad, on behalf of all of Iran’s people — 80 million Iranians — and each puts aside $1 US, it would equal $80 million, the report said.
(The 80 million number is based on Iran’s population, which constituted 81.16 million people in 2016, according to the World Bank and the United States Census Bureau. In 2019, it was 82.53 million, as per YahooNews.com).
And we would give this $80 million, on our own behalf, said the TV station, as a gift to anyone who brings the head of the person who ordered the murder of the grand figure of our revolution.
Still, without actually naming Trump himself, the station made it clear exactly whom they were talking about:
“Anyone who brings us the head of this yellow-haired lunatic, we would give him $80 million on behalf of the great Iranian nation.”
However, reports in the West have the Iranian people celebrating the death of Soleimani. For example, London-based Iran reporter M. Hanif Jazayeri tweeted that the Iranian masses are “overjoyed” at his death.
Iran’s regime just announced an $80 million bounty for anyone who brings the head of [Donald Trump] for killing Soleimani,” Jazayeri tweeted.
PS: Iran’s ppl, however, are overjoyed at Soleimani’s death. As the #IranProtests have shown, they long for an end to the mullahs’ tyranny.
Trump ordered the strike against Soleimani following the Iran-backed Iraqi militias’ siege against the US embassy in Baghdad.
Soleimani was Quds Force leader, a military unit similar to the US’ Seal Team 6. He also headed up Iran’s paramilitary forces and ran the country’s influence campaigns, both of which conducted operations inside and outside Iran.
The Pentagon has claimed that their “intelligence” showed Soleimani as being behind the attack on Iraq’s embassy. That attack amounted to an act of war, in and of itself, says the Pentagon.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei immediately promised “severe revenge” for the hit on the Quds Force leader. The bounty against Trump is likely only the first of Iran’s promised retaliatory efforts against the US military in the region, and importantly, against US “interests” worldwide.
For his part, Trump has vowed to strike back hard if Iran retaliates for the killing of General Soleimani.
He has tweet-stormed that the US will surpass any violent reactions by Iran. And, contradicting widespread Western (American and European) establishment media reports, Trump’s tweets appeared only hours after thousands attended a funeral procession for Solemiani in Iraq.
Again, according to US intelligence sources, the general is responsible for the deaths of more than 800 American personnel and troops serving overseas over several years.
In what, on its face, is a tit-for-tat childish response to the number 80, Trump dredged up the number 52 from 41 years ago:
…Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!, wrote the Tweeter-in-Chief.
Notice the inclusion of “cultural” targets in Trump’s threat.
Two questions come immediately to mind:
- Does this mean that the US military will answer Iran’s righteous revenge with strikes against mosques and museums, and other sacred or artistic establishments and institutions, as well as military targets?
- Are we witnessing the beginning of a renewed Holy War in the Middle East?
A third question might be: What would Trump’s response be if Iran conducted such an attack on US soil? Say it destroyed the Smithsonian Institution, or set off a bomb in one of professional football’s playoff stadia?
I realize that most of us do not wish to even contemplate an answer here. But, we need to keep in mind that during his campaign for the presidency, this man Trump asked perhaps the most chilling question any prospective or actual president in the modern era has ever voiced:
If we have all these nukes, “why can’t we use them?”
