Interesting, but not unexpected response.
What I've described here is a part, a very large part, of "black history." That history continues. Ask yourself why so many successful and talented "black" entertainers and athletes reject beautiful dark-skinned sistahs in favor of light, bright, and damn-near-white women -- or actual white women.
My point about Harris is that I am hoping that she does not turn out to be another Obama. That is, he talked a good game about the evils of white supremacy, but in the end, he did little or nothing to really help black people. He was all style (and "swag") but no substance when it came to black people.
Harris will beat Trump and become this nation-state's First Female, First Black Female, First Asian President. Good...wonderful, even.
But what will she do to really help black people -- all black people?
If her record as California's Attorney General and San Francisco prosecutor is any indication of how she will address "our" issues, we need to be prepared to call her out and not be simply dazzled by either her "blackness" and/or her gender.
