I am not talking about the majority of white people here. This nation-state is gradually becoming browner and blacker -- darker.

There has never been a majority of white people who supported "progressive" ideas and ideals.

I'm talking about the ever-growing, ever darkening populace. From the beginning of this place, the white "conservatives'" greatest fear has always been that they finally, some day, will become the overall "minority," that "people of color" (I hate that term) will treat them the way they have always treated all so-called minorities.

You know, of course, that Obama did not get a "majority" of white votes in either of his two elections. In fact, he got fewer white votes in '12 than he got in '08.
