Great point. Those slavers and colonizers had a choice. And they chose evil.

But it is not just the enslaved and the colonized who viewed slavery and colonialism as evil. It was also white people like John Brown who viewed slavery so evil that he took up arms against it. And the decent white people of the era joined him. The evil white people of the era hunted him down and executed him.
