Dr. Carol Anderson out of Emory University makes many of these same points in her 2021 book, The Second — Race and Guns in a Fatally Unequal America. She doesn’t just posit but proves that the 2nd Amendment was passed for two principal reasons: 1) to guard against "Indian" attack; and 2) to suppress black slave revolt.

That's where cops come from. That's where the "race soldier" and "killer-cop" mentality originate --in slave patrolling, slave controlling and Indian-fighting, Indian-killing, land-stealing white "Minute Men" and "militia."

You are sooooo right. It's because of this history that white people, especially white men, will never give up their guns. They fear, believe, know and understand that to do so invites vengeance and retribution for their never-ending sins against humanity.

As James Baldwin and many others (including yours truly) have said: the world (wherever and whenever "white" people show up) has a white problem that now threatens to destroy the entire planet.
