Despite a very, very...VERY hard life of hard labor, struggle and strife -- all because she was a black woman born and reared in Arkansas and Missouri in the 1920s and '30s-- she did not hate white people...and she did not teach us to hate them, either. Rather, she hated what they did, how they acted...you know..."hate the sin and not the sinner."

I loved her madly. And miss her every single day.
