Constitutional Scholar: Judge Aileene ‘Loose’ Cannon Must Go

As the Manhattan jury begins deliberation in the “hush money” case against Trump, the stolen documents case has been postponed “indefinitely.”

Now comes word that the Trump-appointed, Trump-loving US District Court Judge Aileen Cannon will be removed from presiding over the trial in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s Espionage Act case against Donald Trump. So says one of this nation-state’s preeminent constitutional scholars.

Long time (over fifty years) Harvard University Emeritus Professor of Law Lawrence Tribe has condemned Judge Cannon’s latest ruling as the absolute last straw in the purloined documents case against Trump.

The judge summarily rejected an emergency motion promulgated by federal prosecutors to rein in Trump by placing additional restrictions on his bail status. The Feds asked the judge to include a gag order against the ever loquacious ex-prez. Professor Tribe has characterized Judge Cannon’s denial as not merely wrong or misplaced, but as “wildly lawless,” and a “smoking gun” as well.

Recall that it was last week when Trump, his campaign, and his supporters falsely, loudly, proclaimed that President Joe Biden attempted to assassinate the failed…
