As I understand Lightfoot's stance, she is constantly catering to the CPD even though the vast majority of whidte cops hate her guts...and have told her, have shown her so, repeatedly. Look, this woman put almost half of the Covid relief money from the feds into the coffers of the cops --$283 million --while Chicago's black and brown neighborhoods were (and still are) devastated by the virus.

Just like Biden on the presidential level, Lightfoot thinks she's got "the black vote" sewed up tight.

Requiring all cops to have degrees (preferably in "criminal justice studies) would stop a lot of police abuse in its tracks --no matter what color the officer may be.
