And yet, throughout Ghana it is common to see men and boys holding hands as they walk down the street.

Look, neither I nor Stevie Wonder claim that Ghana is a paradise, free from any and all human foibles and wrongheadedness.

It IS a space and place, however, where black people (wherever they may hail from across the globe) do not have to fight white supremacy/white racism in addition to and on top of all the other evils of that capitalism, colonialism, neo-colonialism, imperialism have wrought throughout the world.

If I know the Ghanaian people as well as I think I do, homophobia will one day dissipate, too.
