An interesting idea, yes. But the addiction analogy is, frankly, superficial. May I suggest that you read (or view Youtube videos) of the following people: the late Dr. Frances Cress Welsing (a black child psychiatrist); Dr. Joy Degru (a Ph.D. in psychology); and Robin DiAngelo (author of "White Fragility -- Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism").
These ladies go deep into the psche of "whiteness," its whys and wherefores.
Oh...just thought another: Princeton Professor Emerita Nell Painter and her tremendous tome, "The History of White People". She's got many Youtube videos as well.
