According to one of his many lawyers, Lin Wood, the accused 17-year-old right-wing domestic terrorist Kyle Rittenhouse “is out of jail.” Rittenhouse stands accused of the shooting deaths of two people during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August of this year. He has been released after posting $2 million bail.

Attorney Wood tweeted a “special thanks” to actor Ricky Schroder and the “My Pillow” guy Mike Lindell, both of whom are staunch supporters of Lame Duck Donald Trump, for their substantial contributions to Rittenhouse’s Gofundme “legal defense fund,” which put them “over the top.”

The viral video of the killings show a white man, who appears to be fresh-faced Rittenhouse, in the act of shooting and killing protesters Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum, and grievously wounding a third man. …

But Black Chicago Is Having None of It

Here we go again.

This is the next episode in the 401-year-long sad, sad saga of :

The betrayal of black people.

The ignoring of black people.

The disregard for black people.

The disrespect of black people.

“Reports” and “rumors” are swirling throughout Democratic Party circles that former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is being seriously considered as transportation secretary in Joe Biden’s upcoming administration.

Emanuel, 61, abruptly dropped out of the running for a third Chicago mayoral term 26 months ago. He has since joined major broadcast media circles as a Democratic Party eminence grise, an elder statesman, a “respected” TV talking head, pundit, and prognosticator. It’s worth noting, however, that at no time during his eight years as mayor of this nation-state’s third-largest city did he completely relinquish his day job as a Wall Street hedge fund manager and investment banker. …

We Are About to Witness a Whole New Level of Voter Suppression

This map/graph only depicts GOP voter suppression efforts in 2010–11. In 2013, after the Supreme Court gave them the go-ahead, every single state wherein Republicans rule, voter suppression become a cardinal rule. Image: https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=IdyO01bz&

Control of the US Senate now hinges on the January 5 run-off election in Georgia. The failure of both Georgia’s Republican Senators to achieve fifty percent of the vote during the presidential election has set up an all-or-nothing situation in the Senate. Two Republicans are pitted against two Democrats, and the Democrats must win both seats in order to hand President-Elect Biden a Democratic-controlled Senate, together with an already Democratic-controlled House of Representatives.

As expected, the Republican candidate for Senate in Alaska has just this week been declared the victor, giving the Republicans fifty seats. Thus, by winning just one of Georgia’s contested seats, Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) Republicans will be in position to place a likely unbreakable stranglehold on any bills Biden and the Democrats attempt to get through Congress and onto President-Elect Biden’s desk. …

Why An Even Larger Majority of White Folks Voted for Trump

Joe Biden has just been declared the winner of the November 3rd election for the presidency. Trump and his regime are, of course, still pulling out all stops (if ever there were any) in a desperate attempt to delegitimize not just Biden’s victory but the whole entire electoral process, claiming “victory” and victimization in the same breath.

It appears that even more white people voted for Trump this time around than they did four years ago. …

Will Trump Finally Get His Long Overdue Comeuppance? Or Will the ‘Silent Majority’ Save Him?

As implied in this Alternet.org piece, Trump and his acolytes are hiding Covid-19 hospitalization data (including admissions, recoveries and most importantly, deaths) from the public. And, they are doing so for the very same and singular reason that he and they still insist that testing for the virus leads to more cases of the virus — as though testing causes Covid. Hey, remember way back in the Spring when Trump first said out loud that he was against testing because the rising number of cases would “make the US [and by implication, him personally] look bad”?

At this writing (Friday, 9:00 p.m. Chicago Time), it’s being reported that over 85 million people have already voted. By Monday, that number will likely equal (or maybe even surpass!) the total number of votes cast in ‘16. …

The clear winner of tonight’s vice presidential debate between Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Vice President Mike Pence (R-Trump) is the surprise and unannounced debater, The Fly.

Like millions everywhere, at first I thought that The Fly had somehow gotten into my apartment, living room, or den and had planted itself on my TV screen. I even got up and tried to swat it away before finally realizing that that thing was not on my television but on Pence’s head.

The Fly made her appearance near the end of the scheduled debate between the two principals when they finally got around to discussing the issue of “race” in these United States. (I’m assuming The Fly was female because she appeared to be searching Pence’s lily-white head for a soft and especially fragrant place to deposit her eggs). …

Social media remains all a-twitter (pun very much intended) over Donald Trump’s latest refusal to condemn white supremacy/white racism. His “debate” shout-out and marching orders issued to the so-called “Proud Boys” (“stand down and stand by”) is, however, not just another “dog whistle” to his white supremacist, anti-Semitic, fascistic, and armed supporters. This time, Trump’s call for white violence across the board is loud, clear, unambiguous, and cannot be confused with or interpreted as anything else.

The Proud Boys last garnered national attention over the summer by perpetrating lethal gun violence against peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters in both Kenosha, Wisconsin and Portland, Oregon. Liberal talk show host Thom Hartmann is fond of describing these thugs as frightened white men who use guns to compensate for their tiny or non-functioning penises. …

The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy [after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia] should not be filled until we have a new president.

— Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, February 13, 2016

My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.

— Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg —Her deathbed wish just before finally succumbing to cancer on September 18, 2020

The not unexpected death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg represents much more than the death of a single Justice. This woman, this jurist…this unabashedly “liberal”-to-”progressive” champion of both women’s and black peoples’ civil and human rights, was one of the very last bulwarks standing between Donald Trump and the Republican Party’s complete and absolute domination of this nation-state’s political, economic, social and cultural direction for the foreseeable future. …

Who the heck does he think he is?

— Former Vice President Joe Biden

It’s being widely reported that Trump has called soldiers, airmen, marines and sailors killed and/or wounded in action “losers” and “suckers.” But, this rhetoric is not new or out of character for this obvious coward. Long before his current disparagement of all who, for whatever reason, put their lives on the line for this nation-state, this small and, again, cowardly man has never hidden his putrid opinion of the US military.

In a December 3, 2019 column in the Washington Post, writer Max Boot noted that Trump once called his “ability” to avoid sexually transmitted diseases “my personal Vietnam,” and that by outsmarting, that is, staying at least a step ahead of the gonorrhea and syphilis viruses (the AIDS virus had not yet appeared when he made these disgusting comments), made him “feel like a great and very brave soldier.” Boot entitled his piece Trump is the Most Anti-Military President We’ve…
